Russ Bourne has had a diverse and extensive work experience in various industries. Their most recent role was as the Chief Operating Officer at SRM (Strategic Resource Management), where they have been since February 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Executive Vice President at the same company from December 2019 to January 2022. At SRM, Russ contributed to unlocking $3.6 billion in value for over 1,050 organizations by providing expertise in areas such as payments, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and operational efficiency.
Before joining SRM, Russ served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Optimum Financial Services, LLC, since April 2015. Russ was also the Chief Operating Officer at Pinnacle Medical Solutions, LLC from January 2019 to September 2019, where they played a key role in improving health and wellness for patients diagnosed with diabetes.
Russ has also worked at Strategic Resource Management, Inc. as the Executive Vice President from August 2012 to January 2019. During their tenure, they provided sourcing, procurement, and revenue enhancement services to organizations, offering a fresh and innovative perspective on vendor management strategy.
In addition, Russ has held positions at Accredo Health as the VP of Sales, Marketing & Business Development from November 2006 to July 2012, where they developed relationships and negotiated contracts with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Russ also served as the COO at On-Site Fuel Service from June 2005 to November 2006, managing business development, marketing, safety, and operations for the company.
Prior to that, Russ worked at FedEx as a Channel Manager from January 2001 to June 2005, where they initiated and managed relationships with software partners, generating over $50 million in annual sales. Russ also founded and served as the President of The Sumner Group from May 1998 to January 2001.
Russ's career began in 1988 as a Regional Manager at PharmaThera/Southern Health Systems/Le Bonheur Health Systems, where they oversaw home infusion pharmacies in various locations and helped start the company's drug distribution division.
Throughout their career, Russ Bourne has demonstrated expertise in operations, business development, sales, marketing, and strategic planning.
Russ Bourne obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Banking & Finance from Mississippi State University, completing their studies from 1982 to 1986. Russ further pursued higher education and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance & Marketing from Millsaps College between 1988 and 1989.
