Chris Moyer is the current Vice President of Safety at Stratolaunch. Chris has over 25 years of experience in aviation and system safety engineering. Chris started their career in the US Navy as an Aviation Engineering Duty Officer. Chris then worked as the Chief of Flight Operations for DCMA and later as the Director of Safety, Quality and Test for Virgin Galactic. In 2012, Chris joined Stratolaunch as the Chief Engineer for Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. Chris held this position until 2019 when they left to join Amazon as a Sr. Technical Program Manager. Chris has been with Stratolaunch since April 2017 and is responsible for all aviation and system safety engineering planning, execution, and analysis.
Chris Moyer has a M.E in Systems Engineering from Penn State University, a M.S in Management from Troy State University, and a B.S in Naval Architecture from United States Naval Academy.
Their manager is Zachary C. Krevor, President & CEO. Chris Moyer works with Mark Bitterman - VP, Government Relations, Aaron Cassebeer - Senior Director, Engineering, and Daniel R. Millman - CTO.
