Ameet Benegal's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Ameet started their career as a CTO/Strategy/Revenue Ops at the Australian Menopause Centre in 2006, where they built a healthcare startup focused on helping women with menopause. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as an Operator in various companies. In 2013, they joined NSW Treasury as a Senior Strategist, working on revenue planning and policy. Ameet then took a sabbatical in Berlin in 2015, where they explored the fintech scene. Later that year, they joined FIS, where they specialized in corporate development and advisory for senior leaders in banks. In 2016, they joined HSBC, where they held various director-level roles, such as Business Lead for BaaS and Head of Pulse. At HSBC, they also led a team that supported small businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently, they are working at Stripe as the Head of International - Banking Partnerships.

Ameet Benegal completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software and Network Engineering from Western Sydney University in 2005. Additionally, Ameet pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business and Commerce from the same university. Later on, Ameet studied at Wilfrid Laurier University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business and Economics with a specialization in Film, Psychology, and Business Strategy.
