David Reaver has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. David is currently a Principal Software Engineer at Stripe, where they serve as the tech lead for the Core Infra organization, overseeing over 200 people and ensuring the smooth functioning of the Stripe infrastructure. Prior to that, they worked at Freckle by Renaissance as a Principal Software Engineer, where they were responsible for various technical aspects such as ops, databases, AWS infrastructure, and CI/CD. David also acted as the ops lead and facilitated the development of ops skills within the engineering team. Before that, David worked at FrackOptima Inc as an Engineer and Product Manager, where they led the development of a cross-platform GUI for hydraulic fracturing simulation. David rewrote the existing code base, implemented new features, and created a custom reactive model/view framework. Additionally, David has experience as a Professional Musician and Music Instructor at various colleges and high schools affiliated with the Walt Disney Company.
David Reaver earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside.
