Shauna Kashyap has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Shauna is currently the Product Counsel Team Lead at Stripe, where they lead the global Product Legal teams and works closely with product and engineering teams on product design and implementation. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Counsel at Stripe and held positions at Collective Health, starting as a Managing Counsel and progressing to Vice President of Platform Partnerships and Strategy. At Collective Health, they provided legal and strategic advice to top executives, managed various legal areas including compliance, commercial transactions, and fund raises, and served as the company's assistant secretary. Shauna also served as the Acting Director of Operations at Collective Health for a brief period. Before Collective Health, Shauna worked at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati as an Associate, Square as an International Product and Corporate Counsel, and Alston & Bird LLP as an Associate. Shauna also gained valuable experience as a Summer Associate at Alston & Bird and as the Founding Director of Operations at Tomorrow's Youth Organization, where they opened and managed the organization's first center in Nablus, Palestine. Prior to their legal career, they worked in the travel industry as part of the Office of the Regional General Manager at Abercrombie & Kent, Egypt. Shauna's early career includes a role as a Forest Fire Fighter at the US Forest Service.
Shauna Kashyap has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Government from Bowdoin College. Shauna also has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from The George Washington University Law School. In 2011, they attended the University of Oxford for a short period to study International Human Rights Law. Shauna also studied Arabic Language at the American University in Cairo (AUC). In 2018, they obtained a certification as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
