Ty (Avtar) Bhogal has a diverse work experience in creative services and design roles. Ty (Avtar) started their career as a Graphic Editor/Production Coordinator at Friends of ED in April 2002 and worked there until March 2003. From June 2003 to July 2005, they worked as a Designer at Trinity Publications Ltd, where they were responsible for designing advertisements, managing deadlines, liaising with clients, checking artwork, and proofreading. Ty (Avtar) then joined West Midlands Fire Service in August 2005 as the Head of Creative/Senior Designer and held this role until December 2016. During this time, they managed creative services and led the design team. Since December 2016, Ty has been working at Stroke Association as a Creative Services Manager, where they continue to utilize their creative and managerial skills.

Ty Bhogal has a diverse education history. In 1991, they began their formal education at Lordswood Boy's School, where they successfully obtained 10 GCSE passes ranging from grades A to C. Following this, from 1995 to 1997, Ty attended Lordswood Sixth Form Centre, where they achieved 2 'A' Level passes in English and Art.

In 1997, Ty entered the University of Central England, enrolling in the BTEC diploma in foundation studies in Art and Design program. After completing this program in 1998, they proceeded to attend the University of Wolverhampton from 1998 to 2001. At Wolverhampton, Ty pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Graphic Communications.

Seeking to further their education in recent years, Ty joined The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education in 2019. There, they focused on their career development and completed the Operations and Departmental Manager Level 5 course in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Ty also obtained the professional certification of CMI Chartered Manager from the Chartered Management Institute in August 2020.
