Joe Muldoon has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Joe began their career in 1988 at Compaq Computer Corporation, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they provided consultancy and software assistance for the development of video-on-demand capabilities on UNIX-based ALPHA hardware architectures. Joe also developed remote access capabilities for UNIX-based systems in support of various research and development projects.
Following their time at Compaq, Muldoon joined Hewlett Packard Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer. Here, they provided worldwide technical consulting to engineering teams responsible for the support and development of the HP and COMPAQ Tru64 UNIX operating system on 64-bit ALPHA hardware architectures. Joe trained these engineering teams on specific software technology areas and consulted with them on customer cases. Additionally, they served as a senior member of the Tru64 UNIX operating system's kernel and virtual memory engineering team, contributing technically, providing component-level support, and implementing enhancements.
In 2009, Muldoon joined Stromasys as a System Software Engineering Consultant, where they continue to work to this day.
Joe Muldoon attended Pomfret School from 1973 to 1977, and then enrolled at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1977 to 1994, where they studied Computer Science.
