Ted Gooch

Ted Gooch is a seasoned data engineering professional with extensive experience in various high-profile companies. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Data Engineer at StubHub since November 2023, Ted is focused on maximizing the potential of data within the organization. Ted also contributes as an Apache Iceberg Committer at The Apache Software Foundation, specializing in enhancing the functionality of the native Python client since May 2021. Previously, Ted held roles such as Staff Software Engineer at Stripe and Database Architect at Netflix, where responsibilities included managing a large-scale Snowflake environment and optimizing query engines. Earlier experience includes positions at Teradata and NCR, where Ted excelled in technical support, capacity planning, and custom application development for major clients. Ted holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California.
