Student Choice
Brad Bowland is an experienced risk management executive currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President at Credit Union Student Choice since 2014. In this role, Brad oversees the Risk Management group, ensuring the safety and soundness of the Student Choice loan portfolio through effective management of credit risk, compliance, and enterprise risk management. Previously, Brad held several senior positions at Wells Fargo from 2001 to 2013, where responsibilities included guiding portfolio risk management strategies for a combined $30+ billion student loan portfolio and stabilizing performance during the Great Recession. Early in their career, Brad worked as a Strategic Business Analyst at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and as a Research Economist at RTI International. Brad holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Economics from Texas A&M University and North Carolina State University, respectively, along with education from the University of Minnesota and Visa Business School.
