Senior Project Manager at Studsvik

Per Magnusson is a highly experienced professional in the field of nuclear engineering and materials science. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Studsvik since January 2012, Per manages international customer projects and internal development initiatives, focusing on the development of new methods and equipment for nuclear facilities, the properties of nuclear materials, and the behaviour of fuel and cladding under transient conditions. Prior to this role, Per gained valuable experience as a PhD Student at Paul Scherrer Institut from March 2008 to December 2011, conducting research on creep properties of high-temperature materials both before and after irradiation. Per's early career included an internship at Westinghouse Electric Company, where numerical calculations were performed to assess control rod worth and the nuclear end of life of BWR control rods. Per holds a PhD in Materials Science from EPFL and a Master of Science in Applied Physics from Chalmers University of Technology.
