Dr. Andreas Obermeier

Dr. Andreas Obermeier is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data analytics and cosmic radiation research. Currently serving as Team Lead Big Data at Studyportals since June 2022, Dr. Obermeier previously held significant roles at Sky, including Head of Product Analytics and Manager of MBI Advanced Analytics. Earlier academic endeavors include postdoctoral research at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on cosmic radiation measurements at the International Space Station, and completing a PhD at Radboud University Nijmegen under the supervision of Prof. Hörandel. Dr. Obermeier began doctoral studies at the University of Chicago, contributing to the TRACER experiment alongside Professor Dietrich Müller. Dr. Obermeier holds a Diplom in Physics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and an Abitur from Karl-von-Closen Gymnasium.
