Eetu Ahonen

Eetu Ahonen is an accomplished project manager and engineer with extensive experience in the nuclear sector, currently working at STUK - Säteilyturvakeskus since November 2015. Eetu has held various roles, including project manager for nuclear new builds, where responsibilities included pre-licensing dialogue with stakeholders, and project engineer for small modular reactors, focusing on international regulatory cooperation. Eetu also served as program manager, enhancing regulatory oversight through a risk-informed approach, and was involved in requirements management and project reporting for nuclear regulatory projects. Prior experience includes roles as a MEMS test engineer at Murata Electronics Oy and positions at Aalto University, where Eetu contributed as both a research assistant and a teaching assistant while completing a master's thesis in energy frugality and solar-powered microgrids. Eetu holds a Master of Science in Advanced Energy Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Aalto University.
