Richard Williams is the current Managing Director of Digital at STV. Prior to this, they were the General Manager of UKTV Play & VoD from June 2017 to October 2018. Richard was also the Head of Digital-First content at Virgin Media from February 2016 to July 2017, where they were responsible for the development of the ‘digital-first’ SVOD experience offered by Virgin Media, across all devices, including long form and short form content.

Williams has extensive experience in developing and managing digital content offerings. Richard has a proven track record in delivering successful digital products and services, as well as in developing and executing successful content strategies. Richard is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the digital media landscape and a passion for delivering innovative and impactful digital experiences.

Richard Williams received a degree in Science Communication from Imperial College London. Richard later went on to study Physics (Hons) at the University of Nottingham.
