From 2012 to 2016, they served as the Vice President of Sales and Product Planning at Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. Since 2016, they have been working at Nissan Canada Finance Inc as the OEM Liaison/Strategic Partnership Manager. In 2018, they joined Subaru Canada Inc as the Senior Director of Vehicle Operations, Fleet Sales, and Sponsorship.
Dave Forrest attended Carleton University and completed an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree, although the start year is unknown. Dave then pursued their Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2002 to 2006.

The year 1978 represented a major milestone for Subaru; this was the year our vehicles were first sold through our dealers in Canada. As was our style, we set about introducing drivers here to a series of strikingly original and engaging models including the Subaru Brat (1978), the Justy (1984) and the XT (1985). In 1989, the responsibility for importing Subaru cars here was taken over by Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI), a subsidiary of Subaru Corporation (formerly Fuji Heavy Industries). That year, total sales for Subaru in Canada amounted to 6,172 vehicles; in 2021, we sold 56,870 vehicles, showing positive sales momentum despite a challenging business climate. Today, we have corporate offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, as well as 95 authorized dealers from coast-to-coast.
