Georg Mohs

Vice President R&d And CTO at SubCom

Georg Mohs has a distinguished work experience in the field of telecommunication and research. Georg started their career as an R&D Engineer at Siemens AG Optical Networks in 1998. Later, they joined Tyco Telecommunications, now known as TE SubCom, in 2001 and served as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff for eight years. In 2009, they transitioned to SubCom and took up the roles of Director Transmission Research, Director System Design and Implementation, and Senior Director System Design and Product Management. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President R&D and CTO at SubCom. Additionally, they worked as a Foreign Researcher at The University of Tokyo from 1996 to 1998.

Georg Mohs completed their education in physics with a Diplom degree from TU Dortmund University in the years 1987-1993. Following this, they pursued further studies, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Optics/Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona from 1993-1996.
