Mark Fryer

Mark Fryer is an experienced Materials Engineering Manager at Subsea 7 since November 2016, overseeing a team dedicated to ensuring the integrity of offshore line pipe and girth welds, focusing on various assessments related to fracture toughness, corrosion, and fatigue. Fryer also serves as the Technical Lead, responsible for establishing the Global Line Pipe Standards for multiple material and pipe types. Prior roles at Subsea 7 include Materials & NDT Engineering Manager and Senior Materials Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed technical procurement of pipe materials and coordination of Engineering Critical Assessments. Earlier career experience includes a managerial position at Tata Steel. Mark Fryer holds a PhD in Materials Science with a specialization in Corrosion from The University of Manchester.
