Brian Funke

Brian Funke is a seasoned professional in risk management and employee benefits, currently serving as Vice President and Senior Consultant at Lockton since November 2019. With a strong background in the industry, Brian previously held the role of Assistant Vice President, Account Executive at Lockton, where expertise was leveraged for a variety of clients. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Sales Consultant at Hodges-Mace, LLC and Account Executive at Lockton Companies, contributing to the growth of the largest independently held insurance broker in the world. Additionally, Brian is a writer and poet, currently authoring the Poetry & Process newsletter on Substack, which explores creativity in everyday life. Earlier career roles include pilot at Trans States Airlines and flight instructor at Langa Air. Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation from Saint Louis University.
