Yi Xue

Yi Xue has extensive experience in leadership roles within the technology sector, currently serving as Vice President on the Board of Directors for The Open String and as the Creator and Owner of the Substack publication "An Immigrant's Journey to (early) Retirement." As an Advisor for the Live Learn Innovate Foundation since 2021, Yi previously held senior leadership positions at Cisco, including Senior Director of Customer Experience, where leadership of a team focused on customer experience technology and transformation was key. Notable achievements include the growth of Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure services business from inception to $100 million in three years. Earlier roles included significant contributions at Bell Labs Lucent Technologies and involvement with the Trudeau Institute as a member of the Board of Trustees. Academically, Yi holds advanced degrees in Computer Science and Piano Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, along with a Bachelor of Arts from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
