Doug Cain is a seasoned GIS professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Project GIS Analyst at Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. since January 2022, Doug previously held positions including Senior GIS Programmer/Analyst and GIS Programmer/Analyst at the City of Fort Collins from September 2010 to January 2022. Prior to that, Doug worked as a Software Engineer and Senior Programmer/Analyst at Telvent Miner and Miner from 1997 to 2010, and as a Programmer/Analyst at The Sidwell Company from 1995 to 1997. Doug's early career included positions as a Graduate Research Assistant/Computer Graphics Technician at the Tennessee Valley Authority from 1993 to 1995, and as a Platoon Leader/Operations Officer in the US Army from 1989 to 1992. Doug holds a Master of Science in Geography and a Bachelor of Arts in History, both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
