Brian J. McDermott

Brian J. McDermott is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education administration. Currently serving as Associate Vice President for Campus Experience and previously as Assistant Vice President of Events and Engagement at Suffolk University since July 2022, McDermott has also held key roles at Harvard University as Senior Director of Learning Space Technology Support Services. McDermott's long tenure at Suffolk University includes multiple directorial positions in University Media Services and providing mentorship in the Executive MBA program. Prior to this, McDermott served as Program Manager at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and held assistant directorship roles in Facilities Management at Suffolk University. McDermott holds a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Suffolk University.
