Nick Ahrens

Nick Ahrens is a seasoned technical professional with extensive experience in engineering and training. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Trainer at Sulzer since October 2018, Ahrens specializes in educating customers on pump fundamentals, best operating practices, and essential maintenance activities. Prior roles include Technical Manager at Missiles & Space Batteries, overseeing thermal battery design development, and Engineering Design Manager at James Fisher Defence, responsible for departmental mechanical and electrical documentation. Ahrens has also served in various engineering management positions at companies such as Diamond Power, CLYDEUNION Pumps, and Howden Process Compressors, focusing on design, manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ahrens holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Design Engineering from the University of Glasgow.
