Frank Ligthart

Vice President Circular Carbon Product Line at Sumitomo SHI FW

Frank Ligthart has extensive experience in the energy and environmental technologies industry. Frank currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Business Development at Sumitomo SHI FW, where they are responsible for leading the global market and business development of SFW's Waste to Value business. Prior to their current role, Ligthart held various positions at Valmet, including Director of Heat and Power Plants and Area Sales Director, where they successfully led project sales for energy solutions in different regions. Frank also managed Valmet's Waste to Energy business and was a key member of the Heat and Power Generation Business Unit Management team. Ligthart began their career at ECN as a Project Manager and Junior Researcher, where they managed research projects related to biomass conversion. Frank holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft. Overall, Ligthart brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of energy and environmental technologies.

Frank Ligthart completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Henley Business School during the period from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, which they successfully completed between 1989 and 1996.
