Tim Ganstrom is an experienced mechanical engineer and manager with a comprehensive background spanning multiple industries, including healthcare, consumer electronics, and aerospace. Currently serving as the New Product Introduction Mechanical Engineering Manager at Spacelabs Healthcare, Tim holds a principal position at MASTERful Design Services LLC, providing product design engineering consulting. Previous roles include Associate Mechanical Engineering Manager at Accenture, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Nytec, and Lead Mechanical Engineer III at Spacelabs Healthcare. Tim has also contributed to education as a Solidworks CAD instructor at Lake Washington Institute of Technology and currently teaches snowboarding at the Summit at Snoqualmie. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering from Idaho State University and completed continuing education in CATIA solid-modeling.

HISTORY The Northwest tradition of skiing on Snoqualmie Pass began in the 1920’s and 30’s, pre-dating the 1937 opening of the Snoqualmie Summit Ski Area. The earliest skiers were a hardy group of world-class ski jumpers who hiked up hill and competed on a jump built by the Seattle Ski Club, near Beaver Lake Hill. Interest in the sport by both jumpers and spectators grew rapidly, and in 1933 the Seattle Parks Department applied for a permit from the United States Forest Service to establish a ski hill at Snoqualmie Pass.
