He joined the Sumol Group in 1998, after a successful journey in the commercial area of Beiersdorf. As part of the Sumol Group, he held various management and administrative positions (2003/2008), always in management, sales and marketing roles. From 2009 to 2017, he was responsible for the Market Unit for Portugal and Spain and, in April 2017, he was appointed Member of the Board of Directors of SUMOL+COMPAL.

Sumol+Compal SA is a Portugal-based company primarily engaged in the beverage industry. The Company’s business activities are structured into three divisions: Nutrition division, which includes juices, nectars, vegetables and tomato products; Soft drinks segment, which comprises sparkling and non-carbonated beverages, and Water and Beers division. The Company sells its products under various brand names, such as Sumol, Compal, Frize, B!, Um Bongo, Pepsi, Guarana Antarctica, Agua Serra da Estrela and Tagus, among others. Additionally, the Company offers refrigeration equipment rental. The Company is active locally and internationally and its products are present in 69 countries. As of December 31, 2011, it had four plants located in Almeirim, Pombal, Gouveia and Vila Flor. In February, 2012, the Company established Sumol+Compal Mocambique SA, which aims to produce and sell the Company’s products in the market of Southern African Development Community.
