Nikoleta Statelova

Nikoleta Statelova is a seasoned legal professional specializing in data protection and compliance, currently serving as the Head of Legal Product & Privacy for Europe at SumUp since January 2020. With a strong background in leading data protection teams and developing frameworks, Nikoleta has held various titles, including Lead Legal Product & Privacy Counsel and Interim Data Protection Officer Europe. Prior to SumUp, experience includes roles at PwC Bulgaria, IutePay Bulgaria, and BNP Paribas, where Nikoleta managed personal data protection projects, conducted compliance training, and performed AML & CTF consulting. Nikoleta is a certified mediator registered with the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice, showcasing expertise in dispute resolution, and holds a Master's degree in Law from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
