Edward Kamps

Edward Kamps, CFA, serves as Development Lead at Suncor since July 2019, guiding strategic projects within Mine Development with a multidisciplinary team. Concurrently, Edward operates as a self-directed residential realtor at First Place Realty, focusing on investment properties and achieving a Certificate of Achievement in 2022. Prior experience includes key project management roles at Black Eagle Consulting, Barrick Gold Corporation, TransCanada, and Kinder Morgan, with a strong background in project planning, financial analysis, and resource management. Edward's foundational leadership experience came from a decade at the Canadian Armed Forces, overseeing extensive operations and personnel. Edward holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, an Executive MBA with a specialization in Finance, and further certifications in project management and real estate development. Current educational pursuits include English and History at Athabasca University, along with certifications in Interior Design and Power Engineering.
