Nicola Thompson currently serves as the Manager of GI Capital & Valuation at Suncorp New Zealand, a position held since August 2017, with prior roles in general insurance valuation including GI Valuation Actuary and GI Actuary for the NZ IFRS17 Finance & Actuarial Enablement Program. Previous experience includes managerial and senior consultant roles in actuarial services at Deloitte, as well as actuarial positions at Aon Hewitt and Southern Cross Healthcare Group. Nicola holds multiple degrees from the University of Canterbury, Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, and is a member of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, with qualifications that include B.Sc., B.Com (Hons), M.Mus., LTCL, FIAA, and FNZSA.
