Suraiya Phillimore-Smith currently serves as the Chief Customer Officer at Suncorp New Zealand, having assumed the role in February 2024. Previously, Suraiya was a Trustee at BLAKE from December 2021 to February 2024. Prior to that, Suraiya held multiple senior marketing positions at Westpac New Zealand, including Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Marketing, overseeing extensive marketing operations and strategy across various customer segments. Suraiya's marketing expertise was further developed through significant roles at Vodafone New Zealand, including Head of Strategy & 5G Programme and Head of Consumer Segment Marketing. Earlier experience includes a role as Senior Brand, Strategy & Communications Manager for Sony Professional Solutions Europe and various brand management positions at Vodafone, where Suraiya managed extensive budgets and communications activities. Suraiya holds a CIM Diploma in Marketing from the Oxford College of Marketing.
