Nikolaos Tsiouvaras has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Nikolaos began their career as a Research Assistant at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas from January 2006 to March 2010. Following that, they joined the Technische Universität München as a Post-Doctoral Associate from June 2010 to April 2013. Tsiouvaras then moved on to the BMW Group, where they served as a Research Battery Technology employee from May 2013 to October 2020. During their time at BMW, they worked on developing battery technology. In 2019, they briefly held the position of Geschäftsführer at GamY before transitioning to the Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems. Currently, Tsiouvaras is the Chief Technology Officer at Sunlight Group, a role they assumed in June 2022. Nikolaos also previously held the position of Director R&D at the same organization from October 2020 to July 2022. Overall, Tsiouvaras has developed a strong expertise in energy storage systems and battery technology throughout their career.
Nikolaos Tsiouvaras earned a Diplom in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens from 2000 to 2005. Nikolaos then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Catalysis at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2006 to 2010.
