Alaina Dykstra has a diverse work experience in the field of graphic design and marketing. Alaina started their career as a Graphic Design Manager at Grand Valley State University, where they managed a team of designers and produced various promotional materials. Alaina also served as the Promotions Office Coordinator, managing graphic design staff and developing marketing plans for student involvement. Afterwards, they worked as a Brand Communications Manager at Design Design, where they managed a team responsible for designing marketing and promotional materials for multiple companies. Alaina then became an Adjunct Professor at Grand Valley State University before transitioning to their role as a Lead Designer in Marketing Communications at SunMed. In this role, they developed new designs, rebranded marketing materials, redesigned the company website, and initiated a digital marketing plan. Additionally, Alaina has worked as a freelance graphic designer throughout their career.
Alaina Dykstra has an extensive education history. Alaina obtained a Certificate in Project Management from Grand Valley State University from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Communications at Grand Valley State University from 2010 to 2013. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphic Design from Grand Valley State University, which they achieved from 2006 to 2010.
In addition to their formal education, Alaina also holds a certification in "Create A Brand Strategy" from LinkedIn, which they obtained in February 2020.
