Khairul Hafiz is an experienced AI & ML Engineer currently working at Sunway Group since January 2022, where responsibilities include consultancy on AI, ML, and IoT implementations, development and deployment of Computer Vision models, and serving as a Technical Advisor for a smart city surveillance project. Previously, Khairul served as a Senior Associate AIML, overseeing the deployment of AI models on edge devices and cloud services. Khairul has also played a critical role as Tech Lead for the Sunway SuperApp, successfully launching the app in June 2022. Prior experiences include software development and machine learning engineering at AiSara, as well as engineering roles focused on materials and corrosion at Electrocorr Engineering Sdn. Bhd. Khairul holds a Master’s Degree in Data Science from the University of Malaya and a Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University, complemented by multiple educational qualifications in engineering and science.
