Anthony Betrus has a diverse work experience. Anthony began their career in 1995 as an Instructor at Indiana University. In 1997, they joined SUNY Potsdam as a Professor and continues to hold that position. In addition, Anthony became the Esports Director at SUNY Potsdam in 2018, overseeing teams in various video games. Anthony also served as the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative since 2005. Anthony briefly worked as the Director of STEM+ Cyberlearning Academies at the National Education Foundation in 2012. Anthony was a member and later the MPD Division Officer at AECT from 1994 to 2011. Overall, Anthony Betrus has a strong background in academia and a passion for Esports.
Anthony Betrus obtained their PhD in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University Bloomington from 1994 to 2000. In addition, they obtained a certification from SUNY Online Summit from SUNY Online in April 2021.
