Jack McGuire has a wide range of work experience in the field of government and politics. Jack started their career as a Research Assistant at Washington State University in 1999 and later worked as a Committee Staff member for the Health & Longterm Care and Commerce & Labor committees at Washington State, Senate Committee Services from 1998 to 1999.
Jack then moved on to teaching roles, serving as a Visiting professor at Gonzaga University from 2002 to 2003 and Wabash College from 2004 to 2005, where they taught courses on American political institutions, statistics, and conducted a poll on the 2004 presidential election.
In 2005, Jack became an Assistant Professor at SUNY Potsdam, where they taught courses in American government, politics, and research methods. Jack also conducted independent research on state and local government, as well as public opinion polls.
During this time, they also took on the role of Co-Director for Local Governance Studies, where they worked on the North Country Village Quality of Life Survey, measuring residents' perceptions of the quality of life in various villages.
Additionally, Jack served as a Visiting Lecturer at Georgia State University starting in 2015, where they taught courses in research methods and U.S. government.
With their extensive experience in teaching, research, and policy analysis, Jack McGuire has developed a strong understanding of American government and politics.
Jack McGuire attended the State University of New York Cortland from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Public Health. Following that, they pursued further education at Washington State University from 1997 to 2004, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Political Science and Government.
