Josh McLear has a diverse work experience. Josh worked as a Residence Life Operations Coordinator at SUNY Potsdam from July 2006 to July 2010. After that, they became the Assistant Director of Residence Life, focusing on housing and operations of residence halls at the same institution. Josh held this position from July 2010 to January 2016 before being promoted to the role of Associate Director of Residence Life with additional responsibilities of furniture replacement, ordering, and construction for the residence halls. Besides their work at SUNY Potsdam, Josh also owned and ran a small photography business called Josh McLear Photography from January 2000 to September 2011, specializing in weddings, sports, portraits, and events. Prior to that, they were a Residence Hall Director at Hartwick College from August 2005 to June 2006, where they also helped with intramural sports and served as the campus life photographer.
Josh McLear attended Siena College from 2000 to 2002, where they pursued computer science. Following that, they enrolled at SUNY Oneonta from 2002 to 2005, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Art & Photography.
