Mindy Thompson has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Mindy started their career in 2002 as a Computer Specialist and Webmaster at the Mohawk Regional Information Center, where they developed internet and intranet sites for the Indian River Central School District. In 2003, Mindy became a Consultant and worked as a self-employed professional, building universally accessible marketing-oriented websites.

In 2004, Mindy joined SUNY Potsdam as the Director of Web Communications, where they led the design and maintenance of the college's award-winning website for 12 years. Mindy then moved on to become the Assistant Vice President for Communications, responsible for the development and implementation of the college's integrated marketing strategy. In 2019, they were promoted to Associate Vice President for Communications, where they directed the integrated communications strategy and spearheaded the implementation of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

In addition to their work at SUNY Potsdam, Mindy also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Clarkson University from 2011 to 2016, teaching web design courses. Mindy'sexpertise includes HTML5, CSS3, project management, and usability studies.

Overall, Mindy Thompson has a strong background in information technology, communications, and web design, with extensive experience in leadership roles and implementing innovative solutions.

Mindy Thompson obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Technical Communication from Clarkson University, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. Mindy later pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology at the same institution, starting in 2004.
