Lance Hummer

Lance Hummer, CSP, CHST, is a seasoned professional in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management with extensive experience across various construction and safety roles. Currently serving as HSE Supervisor II at Superior Construction since June 2023, Lance oversees the HSE initiatives for the Mid-South Heavy Civil division, focusing on employee engagement, compliance, training, and incident investigations. Previous roles include Environment, Health and Safety Manager at Spectrum Brands, Inc., and Corporate Safety Superintendent at Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc., where Lance ensured OSHA and EPA compliance, managed safety programs, conducted audits, and provided training. Lance also held positions as Safety Director at Calumet Civil Contractors, Inc., Risk Management First Responder at Indiana University Bloomington, and Emergency Medical Technician at Seals Ambulance Service.
