Ken Chao

Ken Chao is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as GM of Validation Engineering at Supermicro since April 2023, focusing on power validation, signal integrity, and electrical design quality assurance. With a robust background in hardware engineering, Ken has held various senior roles at Uber from January 2018 to March 2023, contributing to compute engineering and leading teams as a Senior Staff Engineer. Ken's earlier experience includes significant positions at Supermicro, where leadership roles spanned from Director of Motherboard and Peripheral Design to Sr. Hardware Design Engineer, in addition to working as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Gigabyte and a Hardware Engineer at Transcend Information, Inc. Ken's career commenced with service in the Marine Corps as a Private First Class. Ken holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, earned between 1993 and 1997.
