Michael Ruith serves as the Chief Engineer and Head of Engineering at Supernal, focusing on eVTOL Urban Air Mobility and leading technical efforts related to the Supernal Product Concept unveiled at the 2024 CES. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Chief Engineer at Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation, where leadership was provided to engineering teams towards achieving type certification for eVTOL products and managing the development of the XV-24 Lightning Strike unmanned aerial vehicle. Michael's experience extends to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems as a Senior Manager, where discussions with NAVAIR were led to enhance validated simulation capabilities and grow engineering teams in various aeronautical applications. Michael began a career in aerospace consulting as a Sr. Aerospace Consulting Engineer at ANSYS-Fluent and holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, alongside a Dipl. Ing. in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik from the University of Stuttgart.
