Surfix
Janneke Veerbeek has extensive experience in the field of diagnostics and nanotechnology. Currently serving as the Teamlead of Cartridge Development at Surfix Diagnostics since March 2017, Janneke focuses on creating a point-of-care diagnostics platform that includes a photonic biochip and a microfluidic cartridge. Previously, Janneke held positions as an R&D Scientist and Project Manager, developing chemical surface modification methods utilizing innovative nanocoatings. Janneke obtained a PhD from the University of Twente from September 2012 to February 2017, with a thesis centered on monolayer functionalization of silicon micro and nanowires. An R&D internship at Ytkemiska Institutet highlighted Janneke's early research endeavors. Janneke holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente.
