Susman Godfrey
Matt Behncke is a Partner at Susman Godfrey LLP, having joined the firm in October 2010 after serving as an Associate. Prior to this, Behncke worked as a Law Clerk for Judge John M. Rogers at the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from August 2009 to August 2010. In addition to a successful legal career, Behncke played professionally in Major League Soccer from 2002 to 2006, representing FC Dallas and Real Salt Lake, and served as a Player Representative for the Major League Soccer Players Union, where involvement included negotiating the first collective bargaining agreement. Behncke holds an AB from Princeton University and a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
