Jim White

Jim White is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in venture capital and board leadership. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Stanford Distinguished Careers Institute since September 2021, Jim has been a Limited Partner and Managing Director at Sutter Hill Ventures since October 2000. Jim holds board positions at Smartsheet, C3.ai, SilverRail, and has contributed to several startups and funds, including as a Founding Limited Partner at The Hit Forge LP and Co-Founder of the LuMind Foundation. Jim's board involvement extends to companies that have successfully gone public, such as Smartsheet (NYSE: SMAR) and C3.ai (NYSE: AI), and includes participation in high-profile acquisitions like SilverRail by Expedia and Vlocity by Salesforce. Academically, Jim has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University, complemented by participation in the Distinguished Career Institute at Stanford University.
