Khashina Tonks-Turcotte is an experienced engineering professional with a background in mechatronics, robotics, and automation engineering. Currently serving as a Controls Design Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and Mechatronics Engineer at Svante since February 2021, Khashina previously held positions as a Manufacturing Engineer at CORE Energy Recovery Solutions and operated as a self-employed Engineering Contractor. With a strong foundation in mechanical design and team leadership, Khashina led UBC Thunderbots as Mechanical Lead, contributing to a top-three finish at the 2018 international RoboCup tournament. Khashina possesses extensive experience in project management, prototyping, and teaching, supported by a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from The University of British Columbia and multiple engineering diplomas from Camosun College.
