Umang Shah has worked as a Vice President of Product and Technology at Svatantra Microfin Pvt. Ltd since February 2016. Prior to that, they held the position of Lead Digital at Aditya Birla Management Corporation from April 2012 to February 2016. Umang also worked as a Pedal Powered Sugarcane Juicer at New Work New Culture Michigan from April 2011 to June 2012, and as a Summer Intern at Wadhwa Developers from May 2011 to July 2011.
Umang Shah has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Fr C Rodrigues Institute of Technology, which was obtained from 2006 to 2009. From 2010 to 2012, Umang pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) with a specialization in Business Administration from Welingkar Institute of Management. In 2019 to 2020, Umang completed an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
