Sylvia Persic

Sylvia Persic is a seasoned Power System Engineer currently employed at Svenska kraftnät since May 2018. Prior to this role, Sylvia accumulated significant experience at ABB from February 2008 to May 2018, advancing from a Control System Engineer to a Senior System Design Engineer, specializing in the design and development of Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices such as Static VAR Compensators (SVC) and Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM). Sylvia also completed a Master Thesis at Svenska kraftnät, focusing on frequency control in the Nordic power system, and began their career with a summer position as a Power System Engineer analyzing the Swedish power system's current capabilities. Sylvia holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
