Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Marie joined SVP in the late 80s. She was the founding member of a number of Conferences in Dublin over the years, mainly in North Clondalkin, Neilstown, Ballyfermot and Cherryorchard. Marie served as Area President in Dublin West County Area for two five year terms and for another five year term as Area President in Ballyfermot/Clondalkin Area. She set up three SVP clothing shops in the Region prior to the introduction of the Shops Council.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) is the largest, voluntary, charitable organisation in Ireland.
