Mary, originally from Dungannon, has lived in Ballymena for 40 years. She is a retired teacher and has six children and is a grandmother of eight. She joined St Vincent de Paul 15 years ago and has vast experience in working with a range of Conferences and communities from village to town and rural. She is currently a member of her Parish Pastoral Council.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) is the largest, voluntary, charitable organisation in Ireland. Its membership of 11,000 volunteers throughout the country are supported by professional staff, working for social justice and the creation of a more just, caring nation. This unique network of social concern also gives practical support to those experiencing poverty and social exclusion, by providing a wide range of services to people in need.
