Clara Ximena Villalba

Clara Ximena Villalba is a multifaceted scholar and advocate currently serving as an Aydelotte Foundation Student Research Fellow at Swarthmore College, focusing on interdisciplinary research related to race and racism in the liberal arts. Clara has contributed to various organizations, including BarrioEd as a facilitator and researcher, designing educational programs grounded in currere and abolitionist frameworks. At the Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility, Clara connects students with civic opportunities that resonate with their interests. Additional experience includes roles as a research assistant, intern, and associate in multiple organizations, addressing socio-economic inequalities and supporting marginalized communities. Clara is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology at Swarthmore College and has an active interest in immigration policy.
