Jacob Herbold

Jacob Herbold currently serves as a Somayyah Siddiqi Research Fellow at Swarthmore College, contributing to a research project analyzing firm behavior in Saudi Arabia. Previous experience includes a role as a Research Fellow at the University of Cape Town, where Jacob developed a strategic framework for informal housing data systems, and as an Econometrics Clinician and Teaching Assistant at Swarthmore College, assisting in economic statistics education. Also noteworthy is Jacob's involvement as a Presidential Sustainability Fellow, securing funding for electric vehicle charging systems. Jacob has held leadership positions with Overland Summers and taught at The Center for Wooden Boats, focusing on educational curriculum development for underprivileged youth. Jacob is pursuing a degree at Swarthmore College, expected to graduate in June 2026.
