Susan Smythe

Susan Smythe is an accomplished ADA Program Manager at Swarthmore College, overseeing multi-million dollar construction projects focused on compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and campus impact since October 2007. As the Owner of Crooked Dog Designs, Susan creates unique handbags and accessories using vintage and new materials, leveraging prior theater design experience. Extensive costume design work spans multiple theater companies since 1985, ensuring timely and budget-compliant productions. Previous roles include President of Swarthmore Borough Council and Managing Director at the Lang Performing Arts Center, where Susan coordinated over 350 events annually. Susan holds a BA in Medieval History from Wesleyan University.
