Nikhil Patni

Nikhil Patni is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Directful since November 2024. Previously, Nikhil held the position of Director of Software Engineering at SoFi from January 2022 to March 2025, where responsibilities included leading engineering teams focused on Identity and Authentication, Risk and Fraud, and Anti-Money Laundering initiatives. Prior to SoFi, Nikhil worked at Microsoft for over 17 years, achieving the role of Principal Software Engineering Manager, where contributions included enhancing developer productivity and managing systems for product quality assessment. Earlier experience includes role as Software Developer Engineer Lead for Microsoft AdCenter and software development for Publix's inventory management system. Nikhil holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.
